Renewable Energy Task Leader (URGENT)

Winrock International, an international not for profit organization, is seeking applications for the position of Task Leader for Renewable Energy Task for a multi-year USAID-funded Program named Vietnam Clean Energy which aims to enhance capacity to acquire, manage, analyze, and use energy sector data in decision making, increase Energy Efficiency in High Energy-Use Sectors, increase public and private investment in piloting of RE technologies in Vietnam.

The Renewable Energy Task Leader is responsible for the oversight, management and reporting activities under the USAID Vietnam Clean Energy Program (the Program)Task , as described below:

Duties and responsibilities:

· Provide overall leadership for planning and implementation of activities under Program Task 3, Increase public and private investment in and piloting of RE technologies
· Oversee planning and conduct of resource assessments and market surveys and development of project pipeline
· Oversee the preparation of guidebooks for energy project development and conduct of feasibility studies
· Analyze existing renewable energy and energy sector investment policies, recommend and assist with the implementation of revised and new policies.
· Lead/oversee renewable energy-related training and business development support activities
· Lead policy-related activities that result in the facilitation of private sector investment in renewable energy
· Oversee conduct of needs and opportunity analyses and design and development of pilot mini-grid installations
· Provide renewable energy sub-contractor and consultant oversight. This will include an analysis of accomplishment vs. deliverables, and periodic checks on deliverables in terms of timeliness and quality.
· Provide input to Program progress reports
· Work closely with Outreach Specialist on information-sharing
· Perform other tasks as may be required by the Chief of Party and Deputy Chief of Party.
