Research Assistant

Geneva-based researcher is looking for a Vietnamese research assistant to undertake a field research in Hanoi. This research focuses on the choice of university and its implications on the attainment of employment in Hanoi. The aim of this research is to understand the university choices of Vietnamese graduates and the influence of these choices on their employment attainment. Three universities base in Hanoi have been selected to participate in this research: 1) the Viet Nam National University; 2) Thang Long University and 3) the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

RESEARCH ASSISTANT
From the 1st of June to the 30th of August

Duties and responsibilities:
- To contact the graduates of the three selected universities in order to involve them in the baseline survey (the list and contact of the graduates will be provided by the international researcher);
- To collaborate with the international researcher in the implementation of the baseline survey ;
- To assist the international researcher in the administration of the baseline questionnaire;
- To liaise with the university graduates to ensure the baseline study is timely and successfully implemented.

Qualification and competencies:
- University degree in social sciences, education or economics preferred;
- Experience in baseline study implementation and research related activities;
- Fluency in spoken and written Vietnamese and English is essential;
- Knowledge of the Vietnamese university system would be an asset;
- Some travels to the provinces may be necessary.
