We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Vietnamese individual to work full time with our dynamic team in Hanoi for following position:
Job Title: RESEARCH COORDINATOR
Report to: Strategic Information (SI) Manager

Job purposes: This position will work under the SI Manager for a range of different quantitative and qualitative research studies for program development, monitoring and evaluation. The incumbent is responsible for development of quantitative and qualitative research design, research tools and instruments, selection and working with local research partners, data analysis and conducting dissemination (including internal dissemination and external dissemination to donors, government partners and stakeholders). The Researcher Coordinator is also responsible for leading and managing quantitative tudies actively.

Major duties:

- Lead and manage the development and implementation of quantitative research studies Oversee and manage field activities such as data collection and data entry with local research agencies, and/or
consultants, and ensure quality control over study design, field implementation and data collection.
- Conduct other research activities (assessments etc.) and improve use and availability of secondary research resources, networking with relevant agencies, and overseeing secondary data analyses as necessary.
- Assist SI Manager to create, manage, and implement the annual research plan, adapting it as projects evolve, new projects are secured, and as needs are identified. This includes development of budget for all quantitative research activities included in the annual workplan.
- Raise the profile of PSI/Vietnam research internally and externally by leading on research dissemination efforts including report dissemination, and workshops/presentations/roundtables with staff, partners, and the health community.

Selection criteria

- Background in public health, statistics, epidemiology/public health, or other related field
- Experience with quantitative survey research including sampling, questionnaire design, etc.
- Experience with computer softwares for data entry and analysis, including Epidata and SPSS. Experience with Access or other database management programs will be a plus.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Vietnamese required
