PSI currently seeks a talented and motivated Research+ M&E Coordinator to work full-time with our dynamic, results-oriented team in Hanoi:

Job Title: RESEARCH + M&E COORDINATOR

Job summary: The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all research, monitoring and evaluation activities for PSI/Vietnam. This includes a range of quantitative and qualitative research studies to inform and monitor/evaluate social marketing programming. It also includes oversight of routine collection and analysis of monitoring information system (MIS) data. He/she also provides oversight to ensure MIS systems, data collection and analysis meet quality standards

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Coordinate the process to create, manage, and implement an annual Research and M&E plans (including budgets), adapting this as program needs and donor deliverables evolved
  • Manage and oversee field activities of data collection and data entry with local research agencies, and/or consultants, and ensure quality control over study design, field implementation and data collection.
  • Ensure all M&E pre-requisites (indicator lists, definitions, finalized data tools, data flow maps, mock dashboards) for implementation of DHIS2 (an electronic information system) are complete; liaise with global consultants to design DHIS2 system to collect private sector monitoring data to complement public surveillance
  • Play a lead role in the development and implementation of key SI activities, including behavioral surveys, outlet surveys, qualitative formative studies and MIS data collection and analysis.
  • Oversee to ensure platform-wide training plan for DHIS2 system, ensuring users are trained appropriately in the functions they need to perform and use data to inform decisions
  • Liaise closely with the Regional Researcher & others in the PSI global Evidence team to ensure that all strategic information (SI) activities comply with international best practice and utilize PSI methodologies, techniques, instruments and tools

Selection criteria:

  • Have a relevant education in public health, behavioral sciences, population studies, social sciences, or related field
  • At least 3 years of professional research experience. Proven managerial experience – shall be a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage quantitative and qualitative behavioral researches
  • Extensive knowledge of either SPSS or STATA
  • Excellent analysis and writing skills. Good at interpersonal and presentational skills
  • Fluency in English & Vietnamese

Annual gross salary up to $ 21,850 plus other benefits & fringes
