Research Officers

Indochina Research and Consulting (IRC) is a research and consultancy company which has come to operation at the beginning of 2009. The history of IRC Vietnam began around a decade ago when the founding members who were young researchers coming from different parts of the country, had cooperated in several research projects on Vietnam. IRC was then founded after its founders finished their PhD study and work abroad. IRC is now developing toward a leading research and consultancy institution in the areas of development studies in Vietnam.
IRC is currently seeking for capable and experienced person to for the position of Research Officers for its head office in Hanoi.
RO1: Research Officer - Data Processing and Analysis

Key responsibilities
Supporting Research Fellows in doing research projects;
Designing and implementing surveys;
Data processing and analysis;
Writing report;
Requirements
Master degree or currently enrolled in a Master programme in development, economics, sociology, statistics or related fields. Exceptional candidates with excellent Bachelor degrees and having substantial research experience could be accepted; 
Excellent programming skill in STATA, particularly in processing and analysis of household surveys
Long-term commitment;
Having experience in doing large scale household survey;
Good command of English
Willingness to travel to provinces as required;

RO2: Research Officer - Development Economics
Key responsibilities
Supporting Research Fellows in doing socio-economic and development research;
Preparing research proposals;
Data processing and analysis;
Writing reports;
Other research-related tasks as required;
Requirements
Master degree or currently enrolled in a Master programme in development, economics, sociology, statistics or related fields. Exceptional candidates with excellent Bachelor degrees and having substantial research experience could be accepted; 
Expertise with statistical or econometric software;
Long-term commitment;
Good command of English (with very good writing skill);
Experience in development economics research would be a valuable assets;
Willingness to travel to provinces as required;
Ability to work in teams as well as independently;
