RECRUITING SCREENERS AND ENUMERATORS FOR

AN ENTERPRISE SURVEY PROJECT FUNDED BY AN INTERNATIONAL SPONSOR

IN THE NORTH PROVINCES (SUPPLEMENTARY), WEST HIGHLANDS,

CENTRAL REGION, SOUTH REGION

Introduction

Mekong Economics (MKE) is a leading economic consulting firm in the Greater Mekong sub-region (Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia). MKE specializes in providing foreign development aid consulting services to international development agencies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Key multilateral clients include the World Bank (World Bank), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). MKE also works closely with other bilateral donors such as the Governments of Canada, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Finland as well as with international NGOs in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and East Timor. Mekong Economics Company (MKE) needs to recruit Screeners working in Hanoi and Enumerators living in 63 provinces and cities except Bac Kan, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Son La, Ha Nam, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen, Tay Ninh, Ca Mau, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, to conduct data collection of the project on enterprise survey in Vietnam for an International Donor.

Number of investigators to be recruited: 40 people

Job description:

• Screener: Contact and invite enterprises to participate in surveys, book an appointment for interviews with enterprises. Working part-time or full-time, at the Company's Office, at 9B Yen The Lane, Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Dong Da District, Hanoi.
• Enumerator: Conduct interviews with enterprises online or in person at enterprises (no more than 2 enterprises/day). Working part-time, scheduled to start from 10/5/2023 in Hanoi, other provinces expected to start from the end of May.

Number of enterprises to interview: 1000 enterprises

Working time and location:

• The enumerators will come to the head office of the enterprise to interview the selected enterprise according to the list. In the case of an online interview, the enumerators can conduct the interview at home by themselves.
• It is expected to start collecting data from 10 May 2023 to August 2023.
• The enumerators can work in the morning/afternoon/evening or all day on weekdays and all day on weekends.
• The screeners will work at Mekong Economics office, 9B Yen The lane, Nguyen Thai Hoc street, Dong Da district, Hanoi.

Requirements:

• Preference will be given to enumerator with interviewing experience.
• Able to speak loudly, clearly, communicate well, have a team spirit
• Honesty, responsibility to ensure the quality of information collected.
• Have a proactive and responsible working attitude
• Well organized and positive attitude
• Priority will be given to candidates who have done surveys related to enterprises
• The screener requires a laptop, they will be provided with a mobile phone to call to schedule an appointment.
• The enumerator is currently living in the survey area
• The enumerator are self-sufficient in means of transportation to collect data, ready to work in suburban districts/districts.
• The enumerator is using an android phone running the CAPI data collection software. In case the enumerator does not have a device, MKE will provide a tablet for them.
