Security Guards

The Australian Embassy in Hanoi is currently seeking two professional and reliable people to provide security guarding services.

Reporting to the Security Manager, the successful applicants will perform the following duties:

• Provide high quality security services to the Chancery and Staff Residence in accordance with the Embassy approved security instructions;
• Serve as first contact point and provide general information regarding the Embassy to the public upon request;
• Conduct security patrols, report on security incidents and recommend improved security measures;
• Liaise with the Embassy contract security service providers, the Security Police at the site and security equipment suppliers; and
• Relieve other security guards and perform administrative duties as required.

Selection Criteria

• Vietnamese national with a minimum of a high school certificate;
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, especially in spoken form;
• Knowledge of security and security issues in Hanoi; and
• Previous experience as a security guard is an advantage, but not required.
