Senior Consultant for Pitching Training Workshop

1. Background

Inclusive Business Accelerator Program (IBA) is the first one-stop shop in Vietnam for various services needed by businesses which include low-income groups in their operations. We use innovative acceleration models to make the businesses investor-ready. Our scope of services including: Market Intelligence & Opportunity Identification, Business Design & Readiness, Investor – Investee Match making, Impact Measurements & Scalability.

There will be primarily two kinds of clients who would be attracted to its service offerings, one of which is Acceleratee (Young and growing SMEs). They will enroll in the IBA's fixed 9-12 month acceleration program. The other type of clients is SMEs and IB ventures by Large Businesses, who need customized services.

IBA Program has a plan to provide its clients knowledge on pitching through a one- day workshop in Ho Chi Minh City.

2. Objectives of the workshop  

The purpose of the training workshop is to provide CEO and senior officers of SMEs in IBA Programme on pitching skill. This includes the pitching experience in business, assessment of some companies’ presentation ability and key selling points when conducting business pitching to Investors. The workshop deals with both basic principles and wider practical strategies for businesses to employ.

The training workshop should cover the following areas:

• Plan the elements of the pitch
• Identify unique selling points
• Put together winning documentation
• Choose appropriate aids
• Create a team presentation
• Deliver the perfect pitch
• Create a value proposition
• Tailor your pitch to fit the audience

3. Scope of work

The facilitator will be responsible to:

• Design appropriate materials and process of the training workshop leading to the desired results and aforementioned key objectives
• Facilitate a process steering participants before and during the training workshop focused on achieving the desired results and objectives
• Ensure participants stay motivated, active, and responsive while commenting on work, monitor participation, field questions, stimulate discussions, manage guest moderators
• Produce all training workshop documentation and supporting materials & carry out the final editing of the workshop report

4. Expected Outcome and Deliverables

• Increase the skills of SME’s leaders on pitching for business
• A full report of training workshop presented in the course

5. Qualifications of Facilitator(s)

Essential Qualification:

• Technically competent in training in pitching for business;
• At least 15 years of work experience in negotiation or business coaching.
• Master’s in Business Administration / PR and Marketing/Economics or related fields;
• Mastery of Analytics, Excel, Keynote, PowerPoint, and Google Docs, Sheets, Slides.

The Consultant should base on the attached template to develop the detailed training content

7. Time Frame

The training workshop will be held on 10th September 2015 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The facilitator is expected to continuously support online for IBA clients 3 months after the training. The final training workshop report and supporting documentation should be submitted to IBA Vietnam by 30th September 2015.

8. Procedures and deadline for submitting proposals

The consultants should submit their technical proposals with detailed CVs and Financial proposal detailing consultant(s) itemized consultant fee, logistic and others by Friday 31st August 2015 to:
