Senior Operations Assistant

Good Neighbors is an international non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements, and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief project.

In 1996, Good Neighbors received the prestigious General Consultative Status with the United Nations and in 2007, we were awarded the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) Award by the United Nations. Up to 2012, GNI has operated in 29 field countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. GNI is supported by 03 sponsor countries: Korea, Japan and the United State. GNI in Vietnam was established in 2005 and has implemented various projects on training, hunger alleviation and poverty reduction in Hanoi, Hoa Binh, Tuyen Quang and Thanh Hoa. Currently GNI in Vietnam is in need of recruiting the following position:

1. Position: Senior Operations Assistant    
2. Work place: Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh province

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Project Implementation and Management
- Research new project activities through PAP, interview, data analysis and other methods.
- Participate in developing short-term and long-term strategic direction for Tan Lac CDP.
- Prepare yearly Plan of Actions (PoA) with local partners.
- Efficiently implement project activities in accordance with approved PoA. OD staff are responsible for following components: Education (in cooperation with SSD staff), Water & Sanitation, Income - Generation, Community Partnership & Network Building.
- Regularly visit and monitor activity implementing process and assess the results after completion.
- Prepare project reports (monthly, bi-annual, annual, activity report…) and timely submit to Head Office.

2.Partnership development, Network building and Capacity building

- Develop a partnership with local governments at district and commune level.
- Establish Community Development Committee (CDC), facilitate and monitor CDCs’ operation.
- Provide capacity building for commune leaders and partners through appropriate instructions and trainings.
- Promote the participation of the community in GNI’s project activities.

III.  QUALIFICAITONS REQUIRED:

Education:
- University degree in Social work, English, Economics, Agriculture or related fields;

Work experience
- At least 1 years of working experience for NGO, preferably INGO;

Skills
- Experience and skills in project planning, implementation and monitoring
- Ability to work independently and within a team;
- Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills;
- Good English language skills in writing & speaking is preferable
- Good skill in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel)
