Senior Political Officer - DFAT

The Embassy of Australia in Hanoi is looking for a talented and energetic individual to fulfil the position of Senior Political Officer (LE6).

Working for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the Senior Political Officer works under limited direction from the First Secretary (Political) to established policies and procedures to perform research and analysis with a particular focus on regional engagement and supporting bilateral visits and events.

Applicants should have experience in conducting research and analysis, preparing high-quality written reports on foreign policy and security issues, and providing logistical support. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Vietnamese languages are essential.

The successful applicant will be offered an initial contract for a 12-month period with an option to renew the contract, and the Embassy will consider flexible work arrangements. The full-time monthly gross salary ranges from VND 49,363,467 to VND 54,583,642, depending on skills and experience.
