The Embassy of Australia in Hanoi is looking for a talented and energetic individual to fulfil the position of Senior Program Officer (LE6). A merit list from this recruitment exercise may be used to fill similar positions over the next 18 months from the date of advertisement.

Working for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Senior Program Officer’s is primarily responsible for day-to-day management of existing and planned programs and activities within the Embassy’s International Economic and Trade sub-section, which focuses on bilateral and regional trade issues, implementation of the Australia Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Strategy (EEES) and managing the Vietnam Labour Mobility Arrangements program (VLMA).

Applicants should have demonstrated ability to engage in policy dialogue and negotiation on complex issues and a well-developed understanding of Vietnam’s political economy, strong interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise with senior government representatives and agencies, capacity to think analytically and strategically with demonstrated capacity to work independently and as part of a team and to meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

The successful applicant will be offered an initial contract for a 12-month period with an option to renew the contract for another 12 months or Ongoing/Permanent Employment.

The Embassy will consider flexible work arrangements. The full-time monthly gross salary ranges from VND 55,736,420 to VND 62,731,831, depending on skills and experience.
