Senior Project Finance Officer (SPFO)

MAG is an international humanitarian non-governmental organization clearing remnants of conflicts in current and former conflict zones. Present in Vietnam since 1999, MAG has been working to maximize community safety and help those most-at risk reduce their chance of being in a UXO accident.

We are seeking a fully qualified Senior Project Finance Officer (SPFO) to join our team who will bring value addition to Finance function of the MAG Vietnam programme.

Major functions: The SPFO shall support the Programme Finance Coordinator in bookkeeping, accounting and financial management of the Quang Tri Project Office at a high level.

Key requirements for the position include:

  • University, Master certificates in Accounting and Finance (ACCA or CFO certificates are preferred).
  • Experience of financial works at least 4 years.
  • Strong planning and coordination skills.
  • Strong MS office skills, ie. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc and be a quick learner in new software of finance.
  • S/he is also expected to show initiative, sound judgment and to make relevant staff aware of any issues relating to finance, which might affect decisions on financial issues and policies.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, high pressure environment.
  • Proactive, with the ability to foresee issues to prevent problems and then solving them fast and effectively.
  • High proficiency in accounting and finance management skills.
  • Must be able to work and communicate in English fluently.
  • To always work within the MAG Code of Conduct.
  • Work within Quang Tri province
