POSITION:               Shipment Clerk (OBO)        

OPEN PERIOD:         June 02 – June 16, 2023

WORK HOURS:         Full-time, 40 hours/week. The incumbent will be expected to work some night shifts. Actual work schedule will be designated by supervisor.

SALARY:                   US $12,160.00/year

APPOINTMENT TERM: 3-year fixed-term with an extension possibility upon funding availability

ALLOWANCEAND BENEFITS: Tet bonus, annual salary increase, leave benefits, health benefits, local social security program, miscellaneous benefits allowance and other allowances.

BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

Working under the Supervisory Administrative Assistant of the Overseas Building Operations (OBO) project team, incumbent of this position will obtain customs clearance for incoming and outgoing official shipments in support of the New Embassy Compound (NEC) Hanoi.  The incumbent will also work with the relevant Vietnamese Ministry to facilitate vehicle registration and inspection.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education: Completion of high school (grade 12) is required.

Experience:  At least two years of experience in customs, shipping, or logistics is required.

Languages:   

• Good working knowledge in Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required.  (This will be tested.)
• Fluent in Speaking/Reading/Writing Vietnamese is required.
