Job Opening: Short-term consultant

WWF was one of the first International non-government organizations working in Vietnam. In 1985, WWF began working on a national conservation strategy and since then has worked closely with the Vietnamese Government on a diverse range of environment issues and implemented field activities across the country.

We are looking for experienced candidate for the position of: Short-term consultant

Working location: Quang Nam province

Major functions: The consultant (team) will take responsibility to prepare a proposal that help to improve livelihood and income of community via development and improvement of value chains of identified NTFP (medicinal plant) with basic and inputs collected from literature study, market assessment integrate with field survey to determine volume of potential NTFP (medicinal plant).

Key requirements for the role include:

• A MSc degree with 10 years of experience in forestry, natural resource management (NRM), Agroforestry or relevant qualifications/experience.
• Good expertise in market study and value  chain analysis
• In-depth knowledge and experience in NTFP (medicinal plant) growing, collecting and processing in different ecological regions.
• Experience in working and cooperating with ethnic minorities especially the Ko Tu people.
• Professional expertise in community forest management and community forestry enterprise.
• Strong data collecting, analyzing and aggregating skills, excellent report writing skills in English and Vietnamese.
• Previous experience in working with WWF is preferred
