Short-term SME Consultant
Responsibilities
1. Follow up on the training outcomes and support targeted enterprise to start and improve their business.
2. Understand the local market and provide counselling and mentoring based on enterprise needs;
3. Provide high quality enterprise level consultancy services designed to improve enterprise performance including coaching, facilitating management, providing technical advice and conducting classroom based training;
4. Have a good understanding of a range of remediation training and capacity building initiatives including classroom-based training activities for improvement purposes;
5. Contribute to the sustainability strategy of the project including encouraging the participation of enterprises in project activities, a strong outcome focus, and effective time management of consultancy services;
6. Investigate and develop the market and business linkages for selected products and sectors.
7. Produce high standard report on enterprise improvement plans and progress reports on implementation;
Required Competencies
1. Excellent analytical and critical thinking, and verbal as well as written communication skills
2. Good knowledge of the Vietnamese Enterprise law and regulations;
3. Good group facilitation, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills and capacity to deliver classroom training.
4. Deep understanding of enterprise level market, production and distribution systems;
5. Ability to monitor the effectiveness of training and capacity building initiatives undertaken by partner organizations/consultants;
6. Self-motivated and ability to work independently in an outcomes-based work culture as well as contributing to the work of a team; and
7. Capacity to sensitively liaise and network with a range of stakeholders including local and interprovincial market actors, suppliers, providers and producers.
