RECRUITMENT FOR SHORT-TERM SPONSORSHIP SERVICES OFFICER

Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects working in 45 countries.

Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 4 provinces: Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa. We focus on education, water & sanitation, income generation sectors in 6 different areas of Vietnam.

Job title: Short-term Sponsorship Service Officer (Short-term SS Officer)

Effective date: ASAP

Location: Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh province

Type of contract: 8 months contract

Reports to: Project Manager, SS Team Leader, Operation Division Manager.

 

 

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal

External

Country Director, General Manager, Managers/Officers in HO, PMs, Project Officers

GNI’s Donors, Partners, Governmental. Officials, INGOs, Communities.

2. MAIN DUTIES

  • Making Annual Plan of Action (POA);
  • Implementing the activities in Child Management fields: Home-visiting, annual child letter, annual progress report, gift money & letter, annual gift, new child;
  • In charge of Child Sponsorship fields: Health check, Special case;
  • Keep contact with managers and staff in Head office;
  • In charge of the efficiency of the activities during implementation: preparing, making proposal, plan, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, reporting;
  • Contact/Deal with related local partners to facilitate the implementation of activities;
  • Guide and ensure that partners, participants properly follow GNI regulations during the activities;
  • Regularly reporting on activities/events or when required to the person in charge of activities and project manager;
  • Managing and promoting the process of disbursement as planned;
  • Cooperating with other divisions in the office to implement the activities effectively;
  • Actively consulting head office for efficiency and adjustment of the activities/programs (if any);
  • Implementing other activities when required by line managers.

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education: Graduate from the fields of social work, education, sociology or relevant fields.

Work experience

  • Minimum 1 year of similar role;
  • Knowledge about eco-social situation in working area
  • Knowledge about law, policy about child’s law, child protection work

Skills

  • Dynamic, reliable and able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and work with the team;
  • Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Good English language skills in writing & speaking;
  • Good use of personal computer utilizing word processing and spreadsheet software programs
