Short-term technical assistance for development of project annual work plan and English editing

BACKGROUND

The Center for Community Health Research and Development (CCRD) - a Vietnamese not-for-profit non-Government organization is receiving financial supports from the USAID to implement the “USAID Community HIV Link – Northern Mountains” in Vietnam in the period 2014 - 2017. The project aims to build a sustainable response to HIV/AIDS prevention and control in Dien Bien, Lao Cai and Hanoi and will focus on improving quality of HIV/AIDS services provided by community-based organizations (CBOs) in these three provinces.

PURPOSE

CCRD is looking for a native English speaking consultant who is experienced in program management preferably with USAID funded projects to assist the organization to develop the first year project work plan and edit English versions of the program description, project training and communication materials developed by CCRD.

SCOPE OF WORK

Responsibilities include:

•    Obtain a thorough understanding of the project objectives, overall strategy and activities, as well as USAID’s requirements and expectations for the project work plan.
•    Assist CCRD team in the process of the first year work plan development and program description editing to make sure that the final program description and work plan meet USAID’s requirements.
•    Edit English versions of major training and communication materials developed by CCRD under the project.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

•    English native speaking
•    Experienced in project management and planning and knowledgeable about HIV/AIDS prevention. Familiarity with USAID funded project is an asset.
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills.
•    Must be comfortable working in a fast paced and intense working environment.
•    Good team work 

DELIVERABLES

Deliverables are the final first year work plan, final program description, training materials and communication materials approved by USAID.

•    A current resume/CV with consultancy fee history in the last 3 years
•    Samples of similar works in the past (if available)
