Social Enterprise Advisor

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Vietnamese person to fill the following position:
SOCIAL ENTERPRISE ADVISOR

The post is a 2-year fixed-term contract, with possible extension. It is based in Hanoi but with frequent travel
The Role: Manages Oxfam’s social enterprise incubation services at national level by co-creating business ideas, assessing incubation needs, developing incubations ToRs, recruiting and overseeing cost-effective incubation partners, building the capacity of social entrepreneurs, evaluating results.
Report to: Oxfam in Business Manager in The Hague (directly) and Associate Country Director in Hanoi (indirectly)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and implements the social enterprise incubation strategy and plan for the country office, including incubation guidelines/procedures for partner selection (in close coordination with colleagues in other countries of this program).
- Develops and implements an outreach strategy and plan to potential social entrepreneurs
- Selects incubation partners (including both social entrepreneurs and other investment funds), negotiates favorable contract terms and manages partnerships, developing a pipeline of investible social enterprises which cautious investors will be willing to back
- Builds capacity of social entrepreneurs and their teams – particularly in business models, finance
- Builds a network among potential social business leads and links into existing networks
- Raises funds (in coordination with the Institutional Funding Officer in Vietnam and the Funding team in The Hague) for social enterprise incubation activities
- Documents and shares good and innovative incubation practices with Oxfam Impact Investment colleagues and the Vietnam country team and feeds into mid-term and end evaluations.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCE
Job Specific Competencies
- A university degree or MBA in Financial Management or CFA
- A minimum of three years experience in consulting services to social enterprises, leading market studies, developing business plans, providing/overseeing training and support programmes and/or leading a social enterprise successfully. Alternatively a business banking or accounting background
- Proven project/budget management experience
- Awareness of the legal and operating environment for SMEs in Vietnam
- Experience in building the capacity of others
- Commitment to Oxfam Novib’s mission toward fighting against poverty and injustice
- Ability to work effectively in an international team, balancing diverse interests.

Gross Annual Salary Range: VND478,755,174 - VND718,132,761
