Speech Therapist Volunteer in Vietnam

The Research and Training Centre for Community Development (RTCCD) is a local NGO since 1996, based in Hanoi - Vietnam. The TuNa clinic, established by RTCCD in 2005, is an out-patient mental health care clinic, focusing in early identification, screening, counselling, treatment of common mental disorders in children, adolescents and women, and patient family education. A growing function of the clinic is to provide therapy for children with language delay with or without a diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorders. RTCCD is looking for a volunteer in Speech and Language Pathology to provide guidance and training to clinicians at Tu Na clinic on therapeutic or teaching strategies for language delay. The length of this position is flexible, with an ideal minimum commitment of one month part-time. Vietnamese language ability would be an advantage but some clinicians speak English and French, and translation would be made available for non-Vietnamese speaking speech pathologists.
