RECRUITMENT FOR SPONSORSHIP SERVICE OFFICERS (SHORT-TERM)

Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects. Currently Good Neighbors has works in 40 countries, supporting approximately 17 million people, including about 10 million children.

Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 4 provinces; Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, and Thanh Hoa. GNI in Vietnam sponsors about 10,000 children and implements community development projects (CDP) in education, water & sanitation, income generation sectors in 6 different areas of Vietnam.

Location : Son Duong - Tuyen Quang, Vinh Loc – Thanh Hoa

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal: Country Director, General Manager, AD-FD Manager/Officers , PMs, Project Officers   

External: GNI’s Donors, Partners, Governmental. Officials, INGOs, Communities.

2. MAIN DUTIES

  • Sponsorship Service Officer 1 – Tuyen Quang province
    • Making Plan of Action in local project area;
    • Be in charge of advocacy and motivated programs for children like child club;
    • Be in charge of enhancing volunteer network and child protection in the community;
    • Participate in building the partnership capacity regarding child protection;
    • Participate in developing the program for child protection;
    • Contact with Team leader, Project Manager and incharge-staff in HO during operation;
    • Be in charge of the effectiveness of the related programs during its operation such as preparation, proposal making, plan making, implementation, monitoring, program evaluation and report making;
    • Contact and work with the local partners in order to implement well;
    • Guide the partner and other involved members to comply with GNI’s regulations during the program’s operation;
    • Report regularly to HO staff and Project Manager regarding activities, events or as requirement;
    • Manage and boost the process of embursement as planned;
    • Co-operate with other teams such as Finance, Admin, etc. to run program effectively;
    • Be strongly proactive in consulting from HO staff about the effectiveness and adjustment (if any) when operating activities;
    • Do other tasks require by line managers.
  • Sponsorship Service Officer 2 & 3 – Thanh Hoa province
    • Make Plan of Action in local project areas;
    • Implement the activities in Child Management fields: Home-visiting, ACL, APR, gift money & letter, annual gift, new child;
    • In charge of Child Sponsorship fields: APR, ACL, Special case, case management, health check;
    • Manage CMS system;
    • Keep contact with managers and staffs in HO;
    • In charge of the efficiency of the activities during implementation: Preparing, making proposal, plan, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, reporting;
    • Contact/ Deal with related local partners to facilitate the implementation of activities;
    • Guide and ensure that partners, participants properly follow GNI regulations during the activities;
    • Regularly report on activities/events or when required to the PIC of activities and project manager;
    • Manage and promote the process of disbursement as planned;
    • Cooperate with other divisions (AD, FD...) in the office to implement the activities effectively;
    • Actively consult HO for efficiency and adjustment of the activities/programs (if any);
    • Implement sponsorship and monitoring activities, making reports of the assigned project areas;
    • Perform other tasks when required by line managers.

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education:

  • University degree on: Social work, Education, and other related fields.   

Work experience:

  • At least 1 year of working experience
  • NGO working experience is preferable

Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and work with team.
  • Good communication skill
  • Good skill in computer use: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email
  • Basic English skill.
