Team Leader
The Program
Justice Initiatives Facilitation Fund (JIFF) is one component of The Justice Partnership Programme (JPP) funded by of the European Commission (EC), Sweden, and Denmark to support justice sector reforms in Vietnam. The JPP will address challenges in strengthening laws and policies by supporting the implementation of the Judicial Reform Strategy (JRS). JIFF is a grant-making programme designed to build the capacity of Vietnamese NGOs to contribute to awareness of rights, access to justice and judicial reforms.
JIFF is seeking to hire a Vietnamese national to fill the position of Secretary/Translator under the direction of the Team Leader. The position will be based in the JIFF office in Hanoi with travel to the provinces.
JIFF is seeking a professional with an appropriate experience and educational background and strong English-Vietnamese translation skills. JIFF will offer a competitive salary at a level in line with the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.
The Position
The Secretary/Interpreter is required to assist in matters relating to general administration of the JIFF and use her advanced linguistic skills in both English and Vietnamese to interpret and translate documentation
For success in this position, applicants will be degree qualified in Management or a similar field and will need to demonstrate experience in the following areas:
• A university degree or equivalent training in linguistics with English as the main language
• Working experience as interpreter/translator
• Fluent in English and Vietnamese
• Project secretary working experience
• Experience in the legal/judicial sector or having an educational background in law is an advantage
