Technical Experts for Danang Vocational Tourism College (Contract ended at 31st December 2014)

Luxembourg Development, the Executing Agency for Bilateral Co-operation financed by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, assists the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) to implement the project. VIE/031  “Strengthening of Human Resources in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry in Vietnam” which has a duration of 4 years.

Newly established institutions: Danang Vocational Tourism College, Dalat Vocational Tourism College, Nha Trang Vocational Tourism College, Hai Phong Vocational Tourism and Services College and Can Tho Tourism College.

Project VIE/031 therefore has as its proposed development objectives:

• As an overall objective to supply the hospitality and tourism industry in key tourist zones identified by the GoV with qualified personnel;
• As a specific objective to increase quantity and improve quality of graduates from selected tourism schools/colleges in key tourist zones through upgraded capacities of schools to deliver practice  oriented and demand-driven training;   

Under the objectives of the project, DVTC would be strengthened to become a ‘National reference point’ to be used as the model for new tourism schools in Vietnam. This will be achieved through i) specific infrastructure enhancements to the practical training facilities (to equip the newly built Danang Tourism College with adequate practical training equipment and facilities); ii) to enhance teaching capacity for young and new teachers for a better training quality.

DVTC, is currently under construction of the new campus and expected to have soft opening by the quarter two 2014. DVTC, once having fully operation of the new infrastructure would be able to: (i) facilitate possibilities of training for more students,  (ii) be able to provide higher quality graduates to meet the demands of the industry, and (iii) become the “National reference point” for the other hotel/tourism schools.

Lux-Development is looking for a candidate to fill the following position for Danang Vocational Toursim College (DVTC):

• 01 Training expert in Food and Beverage
• 01 Training expert in Rooms Division
• 01 Training Co-ordinator (based in Danang, preferably a Danang-based candidate)
