Technical Officer for Waste Management Project

Main Responsiblities

Project implemetation

Be responsible to implement project activities related to Component 1 :

1. Improving technical infrastructure of project pilot dumping sites:

• Contribute to feasibility studies at selected project pilot sites.
• Define Term of Reference for the technical studies and selection the consulting firm/ builders for waste treatment facilities.
• Monitor the instalation works at project pilot sites

2. Testing recycling and recovery technologies:

• Conduct technical studies on waste separation at project pilot sites
• Propose the appropriate recycling technologies with current condition of location.
• Contribute to feasibility studies at selected project pilot sites.
• Define Term of Reference for the technical studies and selection the consulting firm/ builders for waste treatment facilities.
• Monitor the instalation works at project pilot sites

3. Improving infrastructure management:

• Propose an appropriate management infrastructure works and recycling technology with current condition of location.
• Support the actors involved in the infrastructure management.
• Implement process of reporting/monitoring and evaluation.

Technical Requirements

• Civil and/or Environmental Engineer.
• Prioritize working experiences on technical environment in the similar projects (design and/or manage waste treatment and recycling facilities)  work independently, disciplinal and organizational.
• Ability to pedagogy , building relationships at work, skills on supportive supervision
• Flexible , adaptable and open
• High command in computer skills (Word/Exel/Powerpoint/Auto CAD…)
• Excellent in French and/or English.

Working Conditions

• Beginning time: September or October 2016
• Working office: GRET Office in Hanoi / project office in Vinh Phuc province
• Traveling : Travel frequently to projet sites to implement and monitor project activities in Vinh Phuc.
• Working time: Compliance work under current regulations of GRET Vietnam
