Trainer on Developing advisory packages
I. INTRODUCTION
DGRV – the German Cooperative and Raiffeisen Confederation is the national apex organization and top-level auditing confederation of the cooperative sector in Germany. Since more than 30 years, DGRV is involved in international development cooperation aiming on the sustainable development of the cooperative sector worldwide.
The project DGRV in Vietnam operates with the goal of contributing to promoting sustainable and effective social structure development and poverty reduction. This is a project funded by BMZ (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany) and implemented in Vietnam in recent years.
To achieve the overall objective, DGRV supports the development and strengthening of cooperatives to operate effectively and stably through impacting five main aspects: Comprehensive market access; Protection of business assets and deposits; Improving product and service quality to meet market needs; Increasing member income; Risk management. DGRV has effectively provided advisory support at many levels from macro to micro.
With the aim of providing more qualitative and adapted advisory programs, DGRV plans to conduct a training course on developing advisory packages for consultants/advisors in the field of cooperative development. We are looking for a professional trainer/facilitator to support us with the refinement/improvement of our advisory packages/concept as following description:
II. MAIN CONTENTS OF Training COURSE
1. Participants
- Participants on this course are advisors of DGRV team in Vietnam.
2. Content and requirement
- Provide professional practices of management consulting and practical techniques to package consulting services
- Provide external view on our current advisory approach for cooperatives
- Provide extended practical recommendations based on their working experiences to develop effective advisory packages with more professional workflow
- Provide suggestions to improve close internal coordination and effective information sharing mechanisms among stakeholders, especially with our partners Provincial Cooperative Alliance
- Updates on current advisory topics of interest to businesses and cooperatives are also welcome.
3. Location
- The course will be organized at DGRV office in Hanoi.
4. Date and time
- The course is expected to take place from 25.-26.02.2025. In case this appointment does not fit with trainers, alternative appointment can be discussed with selected trainer/trainer team.
- The expected schedule encompasses 2 sessions: morning session from 8:30 to 12:00 and afternoon session from 13:00 to 16:30. Concrete time will be chosen and notified by DGRV.
III. COST AND BUDGET
DGRV should pay the service provider the training cost, including:
- Honora Fees of preparing training material and implementing the course directly.
- Travelling expenses if needed.
DGRV should provide financial support to other costs relating to organizing the course upon pre-approval
IV. DELIVERABLES
- Prepared training material and necessary content focusing on target group and topic by demand of DGRV.
- Recommendations for advisory packages with focus on advisory flow, involvement of partner organisations
V. REQUIREMENT FOR SERVICE PROVIDER
The criteria for selecting the consultants:
- Having ample knowledge and practical experience in business related advisory and developing internal processes.
- Having pedagogical skills; good knowledge of target group of this course is a plus.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Good English speaking and writing skill.
- The consultants should prepare the detailed proposals to send to DGRV.
- Experiences working with cooperative are of advantage.

Deadline for the submission: 17 February 2025.
The proposals should be composed of the following:
- Contents, training methods relating to this course.
- The consultants proposed (personal files, CV).
- Financial proposal.
