We are looking for 01 UBS Senior Project Officer, Mangrove, WWF-Viet Nam, based in Ho Chi Minh or Can Tho City

Major Functions

Senior Mangrove Project Officer will support the project team in the planning and implementing related mangrove works/mangrove component in UBS OF project to ensure compliance with the Project Document, WWF network standards and Donor policy and to execute close collaboration between the projects and program’s management, partners and other relevant stakeholders in the project sites.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to FTA/PM in the component planning, overall supervision and implementation of project mangrove component activities.
  • Monitor and update the implementation of the work-plans, budget and expenditure; advise FTA/PM on revision of project annual work-plan and budgets.
  • Provide technical support and advice to FTA/PM and staff, counterparts and consultants, and respond to requests for information of the in-charged projects.
  • Provide project FTA/PM with information on regulations, decisions and legal decrees relevant to project activities and approaches
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the project’s outreach and conservation awareness components.
  • Other tasks may be assigned as necessary according to organizational needs.

Required Qualifications       

  • Bachelor’s degree or preferably higher degree in fields related to ForestryNatural Resources Management, Biology or in relevant fields
  • Proven experiences in planning and implementation of NGO’s projects.
  • Good understanding of the Mekong Delta specifically on issues related to: mangrove forest conservation, P-FES, climate change, salinity intrusion, forest hydrology, community development, livelihood improvement.
