VIETNAM STRAY ANIMAL CARE PROGRAMMES OFFICER (m/f/d)

Full-time / based on an employment contract / Hanoi/Hoi An/Da Nang, Vietnam,

Your contribution will be

  • Facilitating in-country partnerships with local charities, businesses, and other stakeholders and identify opportunities to improve canine and feline welfare
  • Arranging local events and meetings as required
  • Supporting the Cats Matter Too SAC program activities in Da Nang and Hoi An when needed
  • Coordinating and facilitating dog and cat meat trade investigations in Vietnam as part of the FOUR PAWS Ending the Dog and Cat Meat Trade campaign
  • Facilitating on-the-ground rescues, slaughterhouse closures and confiscations/rescues of dogs and cats from DCMT
  • Supporting with planning international transport logistics of rescued cats and dogs
  • Coordinating in-country DCMT coalition activities, main contact for Cats Matter Too Coalition
  • Coordinating local project activities based on MoUs with various government agencies. 
  • Organizing and producing photo/video content and comms / FR stories when required (with SAC SEA Content Manager)
  • Producing content, when needed, to promote the Vietnam SAC programme within Four Paws
  • Supporting logistics and planning of press activities when required
  • Identifying opportunities to promote the SAC programme in Vietnam
  • Preparing and submitting regular programme status reports
  • Supporting the SAC / DCMT department in other duties as assigned

Your profile ideally illustrates

  • Relevant years of experience working on fieldwork projects in Southeast Asia, particularly with logistics and planning responsibilities
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English is essential
  • Good project management and organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Experience and/or knowledge of coordination with government stakeholders, NGOs and different social groups
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience of social media copy writing and management
  • Excellent skills in standard Microsoft Office Applications
  • Willingness to travel and to work as part of an international team
  • Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission
