Visa & Citizenship Assessment Officer – LE3

The Australian Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City is seeking a suitably qualified applicant for non-ongoing Locally Engaged Staff visa processing (Level 3) position within its Visa and Citizenship Section (managed by the Australian Department of Home Affairs).

The successful applicant will undertake visa assessments, conduct case investigations, and perform other administrative functions. Sound judgement, an ability to apply legislation and make decisions within tight timeframes, good organisational and client service skills, fluency in written and spoken English and Vietnamese, a strong work ethic and ethical work practices are essential.

Successful applicants will be placed on an Order of Merit and may be offered a position anytime during the validity of the Order of Merit.

The successful applicants will be offered a contract to 30 June 2022, with the possibility of extension to Six (6) months / One (1) Year Fixed Term/Non-Ongoing Employment. The full-time monthly gross salary rates are:

  • Base Salary range: VND 25,575,401 to VND 28,785,340
  • Pro-rated Tet Bonus: VND 2,131,284 to VND 2,398,779

The selection process will be strictly merit-based. Applications that do not address each Selection Criteria will not be considered.
