Visa Processing Officer (VPO) – LE3
Department of Home Affairs
The Department of Home Affairs within the Australian Embassy in Hanoi is seeking suitably qualified applicants for the non-ongoing Locally Engaged Staff positions of Visa Processing Officer (Level 3) to fill vacancies that will arise over the next 12 months.
The Home Affairs section is a dynamic and challenging environment with a high-volume caseload. The successful applicants will undertake visa assessments, conduct case investigations, and perform other administrative functions. Sound judgement, an ability to apply legislation and make decisions within tight timeframes, good organisational and client service skills, fluency in written and spoken English and Vietnamese, a strong work ethic and ethical work practices are essential.
Successful applicants will be placed on an Order of Merit and may be offered a position anytime during the validity of the Order of Merit (12 months from the date of advertisement).
The successful applicants will be offered an initial contract for a period from 3 to 12 months depending on the section requirements with an option to renew the contract. The full-time monthly gross salary ranges from VND 27,738,259.58 to VND 31,219,655.58, depending on skills and experience.
