Zonal Programs Manager – North 2 (Thanh Hoa, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh)

World Vision Vietnam is seeking to recruit the following position:

Zonal Programs Manager – North 2 (Thanh Hoa, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh)

Purpose of the position:

• The role assists the Operations Director in providing the overall leadership and management of the programs and projects in the assigned zone to successfully achieve child well-being objectives through the implementation of Technical Programmes in accordance with WV strategy, policies, systems, procedures and donor requirements. The role is also responsible for ensuring effective managerial, programmatic support, strategic partnerships and quality assurance to the respective Area Programmes and Projects.
• The role will also advise the National Director on strategic issues and policies, and will set standards and targets for the smooth functioning of the designated zone; also help in formulating strategic direction as well as ensuring proper policies and procedures are in place; further work towards a common vision and direction with focus on our Core values, and Mission in an environment of fairness, flexibility, and with an intention of motivation/counselling; follow through the decisions that were agreed by the Senior Leadership Team.

Requirements include:

• A master’s degree in International Development, Business Administration, Strategic Management, Rural Development or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum of 10 years of managerial experience in Program Management with a thorough understanding of the project management cycles in a complex, international development organization
• Sounds experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, proposal writing and evaluation and report writing is essential.
• Good knowledge and understanding of key aspects of development work; including Child Protection & Participation, Livelihoods, Health and Nutrition, economic development, food security, cross-cutting themes (e.g. climate change, GEDSI…), and integration of advocacy and disaster management in development programming.
• High level of diplomacy skills with a strong focus on meetings and relationship building with partner NGOs, local government, multilateral organizations, donors.
• Demonstrated leadership skills including coaching/mentoring. Good interpersonal skills and ability to facilitate and empower self-directed autonomous teams.
• Estimated 40% travel requirement (international and domestic)
