As many as 20% of school-age children are currently experiencing anxiety disorders, said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Nam, deputy rector of the University of Education at Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

The figure is concerning, Dr. Nam rated, pointing out that school-age anxiety stems from various sources, including peer and teacher relationships, academic pressure, the desire for achievement, self-evaluation, external evaluations, and the need for self-expression.
