Expert Urges Vietnam to Integrate AI into Education, Public Sector

Professor Fei-Fei Li, an American-Chinese computer scientist and 2024 VinFuture Grand Prize recipient, has urged Vietnam to invest in building a robust AI ecosystem and integrate AI into the public sector and education, particularly from elementary to high school levels.

In an interview following her recognition for the $3 million VinFuture prize, Li, a 48-year-old Stanford University professor, described AI as a transformative technology for people everywhere, essential for modern development.

She also stressed the need for a strong startup culture, supportive economic policies to foster AI innovation, and safety measures to ensure responsible AI applications, particularly in areas affecting human lives and livelihoods.

She noted that the VinFuture Prize uniquely honors three critical pillars of modern AI development, namely hardware, big data, and deep learning algorithms.   (VnExpress)
