Patient satisfaction rates reached 97.11% in public hospitals and 96.69% for medical centers and emergency units in Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi in the fourth quarter (Q4) of last year, the Hanoi Department of Health announced in the latest report.
The survey included 86 hospitals, comprising 42 public and 44 private facilities.
Overall patient satisfaction increased by 1.41 percentage points from the previous quarter, with public hospitals reporting a satisfaction rate of 95.83%, up 0.53 percentage points, and private hospitals achieving 98.83%, an increase of 2.63 percentage points.
For inpatient services, public hospitals recorded a satisfaction rate of 95.86%, a 0.33 percentage-point rise from the third quarter, while private hospitals saw a decrease of 1.3 percentage points to 97.50%.
For outpatient services, satisfaction rates averaged 96.03% in public hospitals, up 1.53 percentage points from the previous quarter, and 98.69% in private hospitals, remaining stable compared to the third quarter’s 98.7%. (Kinh Te Do Thi)
