The Vietnamese Ministry of Health mandates integrating science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation into annual work plans, using performance in these areas to evaluate achievements and award commendations, local media reported.
This directive is outlined in a decision by Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan, implementing the government’s action program under the Politburo’s Resolution 57-NQ/TW on accelerating national science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
The plan includes seven key tasks, namely (i) raising awareness and fostering a strong political commitment; (ii) reviewing and revising legal frameworks to remove barriers; (iii) securing investments and upgrading infrastructure; (iv) developing high-quality human resources; (v) enhancing digital applications in government operations; (vi) promoting innovation in businesses; and (vii) strengthening international cooperation in these fields.
