Vietnam Prepares Responses for Potential Disease Outbreaks amid Rising Flu Cases

Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry Pham Thu Hang affirmed Vietnam’s readiness to respond to potential disease outbreaks as flu cases rise across Asia and globally, state media reported.

Speaking at the ministry’s press conference in Hanoi on February 13, Ms. Hang said that authorities are closely monitoring the spread of respiratory diseases to implement rapid response measures when necessary.

The diplomat stressed that Vietnam has enhanced surveillance efforts in high-risk areas, including schools, industrial zones, and communities, while preparing adequate medical supplies, equipment, and personnel to handle a possible surge in cases.

Besides, Vietnam prioritizes collaboration with international partners to update its disease control strategies, Ms. Hang said, adding that the government’s proactive approach aims to protect public health and safety. (Bao Chinh Phu, congdankhuyenhoc.vn, Kinh Te Do Thi)
