30%-40% of Vietnamese People Suffer from Hemorrhoids: Statistics

About 30%-40% of the total Vietnamese people have currently suffered from hemorrhoids, according to statistics shown at a training conference on high-frequency wave therapy for hemorrhoid treatment.

Tue Tinh Hospital and Vietnam Coloproctology Association co-organized the event in Hanoi on April 23.

Addressing the event, Associate Professor Dr. Le Manh Cuong, director of Tue Tinh Hospital and chairman of the Vietnam Coloproctology Association, highlighted that the number of people suffering from hemorrhoids in Vietnam is increasing and trending towards younger ages. He added that people aged 17-18, even 14-15, have currently already experienced with hemorrhoids, rather than people aged over 30 years old previously.

Among the reasons leading to this situation are prolonged sitting and continuous use of phones for many hours, he believed.

Sharing more about the high-frequency wave therapy for hemorrhoid treatment, an expert from Mongolia said that his side has been transferring the technique of treating hemorrhoids with high-frequency waves to Tue Tinh Hospital. When this technique is combined with traditional medicine, the effectiveness is even better.
