All Public Hospitals in Vietnam Follow Anti-COVID-19 Measures: Committee

All public hospitals in Vietnam have followed anti-coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) measures, while only 27% of the total private clinics have done it well, the national steering committee on fighting the disease has pointed out at a meeting on December 25. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, who also heads the committee, asked health authorities and locals across the country to elevate their anti-disease measures to one level as the New Year holidays and festivals are coming. Mr. Dam also urged local research institutes to cooperate with foreign partners to find out whether the latest SARS-CoV-2 variant, which is believed to be 70% more transmissible than the original one, enters Vietnam or not. As of December 28 morning, Vietnam recorded 1,441 COVID-19 infections, including 35 deaths and 1,303 recoveries, the committee said. (Tuoi Tre)
