Around 2.6% of Medicines in Vietnam Increase Price in 2015: Report

There were 760 medicines and medical equipment or around 2.6% of over 25,000 pharmaceutical products available on Vietnam’s market increased prices in 2015, according to a report by agency of price management under the Ministry of Finance (MoF). Medicine market remained stable in the last month of 2015 with only a few drugs increased their prices while supply was enough to meet demand, the report said. Prices of some imported medicines decreased in December with most fell less than 10%. The 760 pharmaceutical products with increased prices include 70 medical equipment and 690 medicines. The report projects the local medicine market to continue to stable in January in 2016.(baohaiquan.vn Jan 22)
