The Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium and Luxembourg, the Delegation of Vietnam to the EU, and the One to One Consult SA NV in Belgium on September 14 co-hosted a golf tournament that raised funds for Vietnamese Agent Orange (AO)/Dioxin victims, state media reported. The tournament is entitled “Vietnam Ambassador’s Cup 2020” with the participation of more than 50 golfers, including local officials, ambassadors, and diplomats from ASEAN member states, businesspeople from Belgian and EU companies, and Vietnamese people living in Belgium. It aimed to expand and strengthen diplomatic relations, trade, and investment between Vietnam and Belgium as well as the EU at large. All funds raised at the tournament will be granted for AO/Dioxin victims in Hoi An ancient town in central Quang Nam province. Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium Vu Anh Quang highlighted the meaningfulness of the tournament as part of international efforts for easing the pain of those suffering from AO/Dioxin and other consequences of war in Vietnam.
