Binh Dinh Inaugurates $20M Cancer Drug Manufacturing Plant, 1st in Vietnam
Binh Dinh Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment JSC (Bidiphar) inaugurated its cancer drug manufacturing plant worth VND500 billion ($20 million) in central Binh Dinh province on December 2, the first of its kinds in Vietnam, state media reported.
The Bidiphar plant, whose work started in August 2018, is expected to churn out three million cancer injections and 70 million cancer tablets per year, in line with the GMP-EU standards.
Located in an area of 1.5 hectares in the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, the plant is set up with fully automated, self-contained equipment.
On the same day, Bidiphar started constructing a project to build a small-volume aseptic drug manufacturing plant adhering to GMP-EU standards. The 25,000-square-meter facility is scheduled to commence operations in 2027, with a total investment of VND840 billion. It has a designed capacity of 120 million products/year.
