Consortium Wins $7.3M Deal for Vietnam’s Education Database, E-Govt Solutions

The Project Management Board of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) has announced the winning contractor for a VND180.05 billion ($7.3 million) tender package aimed at constructing an education sector database and implementing e-Government solutions, local media reported.

This initiative is part of a larger project with a total investment of VND200 billion. The successful consortium comprises the Post and Telecommunications Information Technology Company, FSI Investment Trading and Technology Development JSC, FPT Information System LLC, and Quang Ich Software JSC, offering a comprehensive package that was marginally below the bid price at nearly VND182 billion. The contract stipulates a 300-day completion period, which is 65 days ahead of the bid schedule, encompassing fixed-price, all-inclusive terms.

Funded by the state budget as part of the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program, the tender was openly solicited online, with a closing date of January 12. This consortium was the sole bidder for the project. Negotiations with the winning consortium are underway, with the contract expected to be signed by March 15.

The consortium will deliver 30 product categories worth VND153.86 billion, including data loss prevention systems, storage devices for departmental software and security software, server systems, among others.
