Denmark Pledges to Support Vietnam in Sustainable Development, Education

Denmark will continue its assistance for Vietnam in education and sustainable and green development, reaffirmed Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen. The Danish foreign minister made this statement at a meeting with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister cum Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh in New York on Sept. 28 on the sidelines of the ongoing UN Summit. During the meeting, Mr. Minh expressed Vietnam’s thankfulness for Danish official development assistance in recent years. Vietnam expects to further collaboration with Denmark in trade-investment, science-technology, green growth, climate change and education-training, Minh said. The two diplomats agreed to consider the signing of an agreement on education cooperation, while pushing ahead with the implementation of the Vietnam-Denmark action plan in 2014-2015 and the building of a new one for 2016-2017.
