EU Partners, Donors Pledge EUR3.9M to Help Vietnam on Budget Supervision

European partners and donors have recently pledged to finance EUR3.9 million for a project to help State Audit of Vietnam to improve its capacity to supervise state budget spending. The local online newspaper VnExpress (http://kinhdoanh.vnexpress.net/) said that the fund was announced at a ceremony to launch the project late last week. Earlier Dr. Ho Duc Phoc from the State Audit of Vietnam and representatives of European partners and donors signed the deal worth EUR3.9 million to be financed by the European Union and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs in the three years. The project will focus on two pillars namely the development of structural chart and manpower management of the State Audit of Vietnam and drafting plans and management in line with international standards.
