Food Poisoning Rises in Southern Province

As many as 14 food poisoning cases were reported in the southern province of Binh Duong during the Lunar New Year holiday, an increase of seven cases compared with last year. Wine poisoning killed three people and left one other in critical condition at the hospital in Thai Hoa Commune, Tan Uyen District. The victims reportedly drank wine with unclear origins. The province also saw 543 traffic accidents, an increase of 29 cases compared with last year. More than 60 of the injured suffered from brain traumas. (Vietnam News Jan 30)
