Foreign Orgs Hold Event on Vietnam’s Comprehensive Climate-Change Response

The NGO Group’s Climate Change Working Group in Vietnam (CCWG), the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)-Vietnam, and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) organization co-hosted a workshop on June 27 on a comprehensive response to climate change in Vietnam, state media reported.

Delegates at the events fanned concern about abnormal weather conditions globally, affirming that Vietnam needs a comprehensive and multi-dimensional approach to formulate and implement policies, strategies, and programs to respond to climate change.

They said that Vietnam needs to assess climate change impacts on various fields and enhance its resilience at the local and national levels. Participants noted the need to ensure the equal engagement of all people, especially the vulnerable groups, in the climate change responses. (QDND)
