German Bank Lends $3.27M to Upgrade Power Grids in Vietnam Province

The German Development Bank (KfW) has lent VND65.4 billion ($3.27 million) to Vietnam’s central highlands province of Lam Dong to upgrade electricity grids in rural areas. The loan will be used to improve 63.7 kilometers of medium-voltage lines and 83 transformer stations in the province, the Sai Gon Giai Phong online newspaper reported. Earlier, the province borrowed a loan of VND33.9 billion from the World Bank to upgrade 63.6 km of medium-voltage lines and 105 transformer stations.  Lam Dong province is conducting surveys to build the 110-kV Lam Ha transformer station and a 110-kV power transmission line linking Bao Loc city and Da The district.
