German-funded Proj Supports Vietnam College in Greening TVET Institutes

The Vocational College of Machinery and Irrigation (VCMI), based in Vietnam’s southern Dong Nai province, is organizing four training workshops for over 100 teachers and staffs. The workshops, scheduled for July 18-19 and July 25-26, focuses on Greening Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutes and Implementing the Basic Module on “Environmental Protection, Energy and Resource Efficiency.” Up to 105 teachers and staff are participating in the training. This training course was held within the component “Support of Centers of Excellence for TVET” as part of the Vietnamese - German “Program Reform of TVET in Vietnam.” The program is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA). The training workshops aim to support the integration of green aspects into the training offers and the operation of VCMI to meet the requirements of Vietnam’s green growth and green economy in the future.
