The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) has financed VND360 billion ($15.52 million) for a VND522-billion project on helping farmers in Vietnam’s southern Tra Vinh province improve livelihoods and respond to climate change, state media reported. The remaining is sourced from the reciprocal capital from the Vietnamese government and beneficiaries of the project. The project has been deployed in 2014-2020, aiming to support 15,000 poor and near-poor households in 30 communes of seven districts in Tra Vinh. In 2014-2019, the project supported 866 business plans of 7,400 poor and near-poor households, with a total disbursed capital of VND81 billion. (Nong Nghiep Viet Nam, Nong Nghiep Viet Nam)
