Korea Safety Education Association Eyes $50M Experience Center in Vietnam

The Korea Safety Education Association has proposed building a safety experience center in the northern province of Ha Nam, the largest one in Vietnam, with an estimated cost of $50 million, local media reported.

Representatives of the association made the proposal at a meeting with Ha Nam authorities in Ha Nam province on January 31, while noting that with recent fire incidents in Vietnam, there is a growing concern for issues related to fire safety, labor safety, and industrial safety.

Mr. Park Noh Wan, former South Korean Ambassador to Vietnam, said that the association chose Ha Nam for this project thanks to its proximity to Hanoi, convenient transportation, and attractive investment policies, especially in the field of education.

He highlighted the association's leading role in developing safety-related issues in South Korea and mentioned ongoing collaborations with several central ministries and agencies on safety projects in Vietnam.

He suggested local authorities allocate a 20-hectare land fund for constructing this center.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Quoc Huy welcomed the establishment of this center while affirming the availability of land funds in Ha Nam province. He pledged to facilitate the South Korean association to invest in the center in the province.
