LDS Church Helps Build Clean Water System in Hoa Binh

The Vietnamese Women Union and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDSC) co-held a groundbreaking ceremony on April 19 for a clean water system in Quy Hoa commune, northern Hoa Binh province. The project has a total investment of VND994 million ($44,590), of which VND698 million is aided by the LDSC. The project, which includes a latrine, is scheduled to complete in two months. Once operational, the clean water system will provide 80 litres of water for a person per day. Local residents will also receive knowledge on clean water and environmental sanitation.
