Welcome to the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre Newsletter for 14-31 January, 2011.
As we start the new year several of our members have announced changes to their office location, one member has announced a new Country Representative and one member has announced a name change.
Academy for Educational Development has announced the appointment of its new Country Representative, Ms. Nemat Hajeebhoy. Ms. Hajeebhoy replaces Ms. Eleanora de Guzmann, who has assumed the post of Chief of Party of a large health communication project which USAID India recently awarded to AED. We thank Ms Guzmann for her work and wish her all the best in her new position. We also offer our congratulations to Ms Hajeebhoy on her new post, and look forward to continuing the fruitful working relationship with AED.
The World Population Foundation, from January 1, 2011, has a new name: Rutgers WPF. This is due to the merger of WPF with Rutgers Nisso Groep from the Netherlands to form a new organisation. Its staff look forward to continue working with its partners in Vietnam on issues of sexual and reproductive health and rights.

There are two Working Group meetings remaining in January: the Disability Working Group will meet on January 20 (02:00) at the NGO Resource Centre; the Disaster Management Working Group will meet on January 21 (02:00) at the NGO Resource Centre.
Last but not least, we would like to wish you all Happy New Year for Tet on February 3, 2011. We would like to inform you that the Resource Centre office will be closed for Tet, starting on Friday 29 January 2011. We will reopen on Tuesday, February 8, 2011.
